Career Website Glassdoor, have released their findings on the ‘25 Highest Paying Companies in America for 2016‘. Perhaps one of the biggest change is the dominance of technology and consulting firms who now take 24 out of the 25 top spots.

“This report reinforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills and higher education, which in part, is why we see several companies on this list among the consulting and technology industries,” explained Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor Chief Economist.

“Salaries are sky-high at consulting companies due to ‘barriers of entry’ in this field, which refers to employers wanting top consultants to have personal contacts, reputations and specialized skills and knowledge. In technology, we continue to see unprecedented salaries as the war for talent is still very active, largely due to the ongoing shortage of highly skilled workers needed.”

However, it’s not just salaries that are the top of employees reasons for choosing their jobs. Another survey from Glassdoor highlights that the leading factors are actually: culture and values, career opportunities, and trust in senior leadership.

It’s not just down to how well a company pays, they have to strike the perfect balance between remuneration and the leading factors chosen by employees. However, if you’re interested to see who made the 25 top paying companies in america, check out the list below:
